With the Nintendo Wii's motion controls, it will probably come as no surprise that there are several table tennis games that make use of the Wii remote. Players stand in front of the television and move their remotes back and forth as if they were paddles to hit the ping pong ball back across the net on the screen.
Wii Sports Resort
This disk includes ping pong and nearly a dozen other games. The game disk comes packaged with Wii motion plus, an attachment to the Wii remote that allows for more intuitive controls for all components of "Wii Sports Resort," which has a 2010 retail price of $50.
Family Table Tennis
This WiiWare title is budget-priced at $10, as of 2010. Choose from two children, a mother and a father to play one-on-one against a friend or family member. Characters move automatically, so you just have to time your Wii remote swings to connect with the ping pong ball.
Balls of Fury
Based on the movie of the same name, you play as former Ping Pong phenom Randy Daytona and must progress through a series of matches on the table to earn the right to play grandmaster Feng and avenge the murder of your father. This game has a 2010 retail price of $30.
Pong Toss
If you want to use the ping pong table for other activities, give the popular college game beer pong a try. The name is changed here for political correctness, but the game is similar in concept. You take turns bouncing ping pong balls across the table in an attempt to land them in paper cups. Once you're cups are eliminated, you lose. The WiiWare title can be purchased for less than $10, as of 2010.
