If you want to change the location of your slate pool table, you need to take the table apart to lift it and fit it through doorways. If you are moving to a different house, you need to disassemble the table to safely pack it with your other belongings. While it's advisable to hire a professional to take apart a slate pool table, it's possible to do it on your own.
Instructions
- 1
Remove the pockets from the corner of the rails with a Philips screwdriver.
2Remove the rails from the table with a socket wrench. Remove three bolts per side.
3Remove the felt from the slate surface by taking the staples out with a standard screwdriver and pliers.
4Remove the slate from the frame by taking the screws out of the slate with a drill and a Philips screw bit.
5Flip the frame over. Take the table legs off the frame one at a time with a screwdriver. Move the legs and other parts out of the way. Move the table.
