How to Decoupage Wooden TV Trays

How to Decoupage Wooden TV Trays

When you use a wooden TV tray regularly to eat meals or to hold your drinks, you may become tired of the drab, plain appearance of the tray. One way to liven up the wooden TV tray is to apply a colorful picture onto the tray using decoupage. This enables you to transform the TV tray into one that is more beautiful and personalized. Make a decoupaged wooden TV tray using materials you can purchase at any craft store.

Instructions

    1

Cut out pictures from magazines using scissors, such as flowers.

    2

Combine 1/2 cup white craft glue and 1/2 cup water into a bowl. Stir the mixture for one minute to properly dilute the craft glue.

    3

Paint a layer of diluted craft glue over the top of the wooden TV tray using a paintbrush.

    4

Lay the cut out pictures on top of the glue layer. Overlap the pictures as you prefer. Do not let the glue dry.

    5

Paint a second layer of diluted craft glue over the top of the cutout pictures. Allow the glue to dry for two hours before using the decoupage TV tray.
